On November 18th, 2022, the International Scientific Committee (ISC) of the XVIII World Water Congress held its 7th meeting online. ISC’s Co-Chairs, Renée Martin-Nagle and Shi Qiuchi chaired the meeting. ISC Vice Chairs and members, representatives from the IWRA’s Executive Office, and the Congress Secretariat attended the meeting.

The Vice Chairs of each working group reported recent working progress. Shi Qiuchi reported the progress of the call for abstracts and special sessions. The mobilisation and promotion ways of the Congress were discussed during the meeting. Comments and suggestions were widely exchanged on key issues.

The meeting reached consensus on continuing to efficiently complete the reviewing works on abstracts and proposals of special sessions, continuously refining the activity programme and time schedule, and further mobilising and promoting the Congress widely.
